Effective Date
This User Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding contract between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Chekpros.com (“Chekpros,” “Company,” “Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using Chekpros.com and any related websites, mobile applications, software, products, services, tools, features, or technologies provided by Chekpros, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement, our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Fees and Charges Policy, Code of Conduct, Refund Policy, and any other policies published on the Platform.

Chekpros is not an employer, recruitment agency, staffing agency, labor broker, or representative of any user unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Eligibility
To use Chekpros, you must:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Provide accurate registration information
- Not be prohibited from using online marketplaces under applicable law
Businesses, agencies, and organizations using the Platform represent that they have authority to bind their respective organizations to this Agreement.
- User Accounts
Users must create an account to access certain features.
You agree to:

Chekpros reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement.

- Other supporting documentation
Verification does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee by Chekpros.
Chekpros reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or revoke verification status at any time.
- Marketplace Relationship
Chekpros serves solely as a marketplace and technology provider.
Users acknowledge that:
- Employers independently select freelancers
- Freelancers independently choose projects
- Contracts are formed directly between users
- Users control the terms of their engagements
- Chekpros is not a party to agreements between users unless expressly stated
Chekpros does not guarantee project outcomes, work quality, availability of opportunities, earnings, hiring success, or future business relationships.
- Employer Responsibilities
Employers agree to:
- Provide accurate project descriptions
- Maintain sufficient funds for payments
- Communicate professionally
- Pay for approved work
- Comply with applicable laws
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Avoid discriminatory practices
Employers may not:
- Circumvent platform payment systems
- Engage in fraud
- Misrepresent projects
- Abuse dispute processes
- Request unlawful services
- Freelancer Responsibilities
Freelancers agree to:
- Deliver services professionally
- Meet agreed deadlines
- Provide truthful profile information
- Maintain professional conduct
- Deliver original work unless otherwise agreed
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
Freelancers may not:
- Submit fraudulent proposals
- Misrepresent qualifications
- Engage in plagiarism
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Circumvent platform payment systems
- Fees and Payments
Users agree to pay all applicable:
- Service fees
- Subscription fees
- Processing fees
- Escrow fees
- Promotional fees
- Other charges disclosed by Chekpros
Applicable fees are described in the Fees and Charges Policy.
Failure to pay required fees may result in account restrictions, suspension, termination, or collection activities.
- Escrow Services
Where available, Chekpros may provide escrow services for certain transactions.
Escrow services are intended to:
- Facilitate secure payments
- Reduce transaction risks

- Assist in dispute management
Chekpros reserves the right to determine eligibility, limitations, and operational procedures for escrow services.
- Projects, Tasks, and Contracts
Users are solely responsible for negotiating and agreeing upon:

- Timelines
- Budgets
- Milestones
- Revisions
- Project requirements
Chekpros does not guarantee successful completion of any project or contract.
- Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of intellectual property they create unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
Upon full payment, ownership rights may transfer according to the applicable contract terms agreed between the parties.
Users warrant that submitted content does not infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.
Chekpros reserves the right to remove infringing content.

Users may submit:
- Profiles
- Portfolios
- Reviews
- Messages
- Images
- Documents
- Videos
- Project descriptions
- Other content
Users retain ownership of their content but grant Chekpros a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and promote such content for operating and improving the Platform.
- Prohibited Activities
Users shall not:
- Engage in fraud
- Submit false information
- Violate laws
- Harass other users
- Post illegal content
- Distribute malware
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Circumvent fees
- Manipulate reviews
- Create fake accounts
- Engage in money laundering
- Use the Platform for unlawful activities
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
- Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave reviews and ratings based on genuine experiences.
Reviews must be:
- Truthful
- Relevant
- Respectful
- Non-defamatory
Chekpros reserves the right to remove reviews that violate Platform policies.
- Communications
By using Chekpros, users consent to receive communications including:

Any dispute between users may be reviewed based on available information and platform policies.
- Account Suspension and Termination
Chekpros reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for:

- Fraudulent activity
- Security risks
- Legal requirements

- Non-payment of fees
Termination may occur without prior notice where necessary to protect the Platform or users.
- Disclaimer of Warranties
Chekpros provides its services on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chekpros disclaims all warranties including:

- Non-infringement
Chekpros does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chekpros shall not be liable for:

Chekpros’ total liability shall not exceed the amount paid to Chekpros by the affected user during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
- Indemnification
Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chekpros, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, partners, and licensors from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses, and legal costs arising from:
- User conduct
- User content
- Violation of this Agreement
- Violation of applicable laws
- Intellectual property disputes
- Force Majeure
Chekpros shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Internet outages
- Cyberattacks
- Government actions
- Labor disputes
- Utility failures
- Pandemics
- Acts of war
- Modifications To This Agreement
Chekpros reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time.
Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise required by law.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
- Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.

- Entire Agreement

By creating an account, accessing, or using Chekpros.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this User Agreement and all related policies governing the Platform.
